I have been practicing as a designer and an architect since 1991.  My path began in the suburbs of New England and moved on to Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.  Soon after I found myself in San Francisco.

I believe architecture is about space.  The exploration for me is found in the manipulation of that space within, around and between built form.  All three are of equal value in shaping our environment.  I believe that building facades should be understood more as the transition from one of these spaces to the next and not merely as enclosure. This logic helps to direct project form, aesthetics and performance.  I practice these ideals during the design process of all projects.
